Each year the Rhymney Valley Transport Preservation Society organises a transport festival,  but in 2008 they will organise two !

The Welsh Heartlands Transport Festival

Saturday & Sunday 19-20th April at the Blackwood Civic Centre & Country Park

A new type of transport and motoring event in South Wales offering something for the whole family, every type of motor vehicle from Sinclair C5 to Leyand double decker buses  plus Celtic Wrestling  and a full programme of music and dance to suite most tastes hopefully including an all girl band from the Czech Republic will knock out a wide range of favourites from the 50's and 60's.

GELLIGAER ANNIVERSARY BUS RALLY

This will take place in and around Gelligaer on Sunday 21 September 2008.  This is a buses ONLY event and will feature a Cavalcade over old routes a bus running day and a static display.  Free entry.
